While having alone time is great, I would still like to have to choice to get out and enjoy life out and about. It has gotten to the point, where he can barely lift me at all, so I spend most of my days at home while everyone else goes out. I am now a young adult, and no longer a little girl, and that is having some big negative impacts on my dad’s body when he lifts me. We currently have a eight seat suburban, with a wheelchair lift in the back, but now it just is not cutting it ‘cause my dad has to lift me into the car. And due to this, I need special transport to get places. In case some of y’all do not know, I am in a wheelchair due to the fact I was diagnosed with Ullrich’s Congenital Muscular Dystrophy.
